ss.7.c.2.1: what it means to be a citizen

 A citizen is a legally recognized member of a country.  To be a citizen you have to go through something called the “naturalization process”, in the naturalization process the first step is to apply for a permanent residency visa, this visa allows you to stay in the united states to travel or work or go to school. To get one you need a family or a job in the country. The second step is apply for citizenship, to do this you have to submit a form with photographs and documents. The third step is to get fingerprinted. Then be interviewed and pass civic tests, U.s history, and English tests. Then take the oath of allegiance to the United States.
